AMERICAN IDOL..WOW!!!

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

david-cook.jpg

HEY BLOGGERS!!

Who do you think is getting kicked off tonite?? I’m saying it’s a toss up between Ramiele, Chikezie, Carly  and maybe Kristy Lee even though Simon liked her last nite. If you missed American Idol last nite.. you missed David cook’s remake of Michael Jackson’s Billy Jean… amazing… it’s the best  I’ve seen on American Idol !!!

src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/B7qcTm5fHRc&hl=en

absolutely  crazy!!!!!! he killed it!!  Michael  should be proud of that  remake..David  is safe this week and could be the winner of the whole thing.Honorable mentions  go to Syesha Mercado  who  grew up in BRIDGEPORT CT !!!!!!!!!!!!She gave CT. a big shoutout last nite ! She did a great  job too…here’s the whole rundown in the order they appeared last  nite. They had to sing a song from the year they were born.

Pint-sized Ramiele Malubay kicked off the night with Heart’s “Alone,” starting slow and breathy, then powering through the finale. Randy Jackson said it was “too big of a song for you to sing, a little pitchy, all over the place.” Paula Abdul said, “I give you tremendous amount of credit. I know you are sick.” Simon Cowell said, “I don’t think it was as bad as Randy said. The first part of the song was okay. The middle, it got all shrieky and shouty.”

Dreadlocked Jason Castro had his guitar in Spanish mode to take on Sting’s “Fragile” Randy said, “Very good choice. I like the little Spanish touch.” Paula said, “I think you are staying true to who you are. We didn’t see anything ‘wow’ and you are playing it safe.” Simon said, “You have had two bad weeks and its time that you start taking this a bit more seriously. Everything was too laid back.”

Syesha Mercado turned on the diva power for the Stephanie Mills song “If I Were Your Woman.” Randy said it was the “best I have ever heard you sing including when you auditioned. It was stellar.” Paula said, “This is the moment that everyone remembers when Syesha flipped it and became the dark horse.” Simon said, “I don’t think the end was as good as Randy thought. There is a limit on your vocals and that song stretched it.”

Chikezie Eze got smooth, soft and emotional for the Luther Vandross song “If Only for One Night.” Randy said, “I didn’t love it. Boring.” Paula said, “I think you did a great job. You are a really great singer.” Simon said, “I think you sang it well, but I thought the performance was very cheesy.”

Brooke White was at the piano for The Police song “Every Breath You Take.” Randy said, “The front part was good. The bridge, I didn’t like how the band came in.” Paula said, “I enjoyed this performance so much more than last week.” Simon said, “Good enough to keep you in another week. Better than last week.

Aussie Michael Johns brought big his rocker voice, and lifted the audience to a frenzy with Queen’s “We are the Champions.” Randy said, “Dude, that was the best performance since you have been on the show.” Paula said, “This was your shining moment.” Simon said it was the “first time with you I saw star potential. Tonight you just got it right.”

Carly Smithson belted out the Bonnie Tyler anthem “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Randy said, “Interesting song choice. I like it but didn’t love it.” Paula said, “You could do no wrong tonight.” Simon said, “Something didn’t quite work. You were uptight and tense. I didn’t enjoy it.”

David Archuletta did a big Broadway take on “You’re the Voice,” most famously recorded by John Farnham. Randy said, “It was a strange song choice, but you can sing whatever. It was very nice.” Paula said, “You can sing the phone book and we would fall in love with you.” Simon said, “I actually didn’t like the performance at all. It was like a theme park performance. It was something you would sing with animated creatures.”

The constantly panned Kristy Lee Cook did Lee Greenwood’s bombastically patriotic ballad “God Bless the U-S-A.” Randy said, “Great song choice. A very nice performance.” Paula said, “I have seen better performances, but your voice sounded much better.” Simon said, “Your best performance by a mile, and that performance will keep you in the competition.”

David Cook closed the night for a slowed-down version of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” building to a big finish. Randy said, “I think you are the most original and bold contestant we have ever had. Paula said, “I am blown away, I can’t even sit down. I think you are brilliant.” Simon said, “That was brave. It could have been either insane or amazing, and it was amazing.

SO WHO DO YOU THINKS  GOING HOME?? Click on the comments and let me know !!!! We’ll talk tomorrow morning about who got kicked off !!!

mrt.jpg

I pity the fool  who wears this I dream of Genie outfit.. No dude should wear this!!Can  you believe this outfit  was ever cool??? geeeeeeezzzzz. Anyway..Happy  Monday !!! I hate Mondays.. But then I read  that the new A-Team movie is coming out. Oh Happy  day , who cares  thats it’s the first  day  of the week? I mean the A-Team is coming back !!!!! Let’s  hope it’s better than the re-makes of Dukes of Hazard, Starsky and Hutch, the Mod Squad , I could go on and on but let’s stop with the Mod Squad. Now nobody has been chosen for any roles yet.  But when we started talking about it on the air, some people called in and thought that Ice Cube  would be perfect,  he has a mean  mug  and rarely  smiles in his movies. So I can see that.  Some thought Ving Rhames, he’s a big dude, intimidating and that  could work. Someone said  Michael Clark Duncan… he just scares me.. seriously. So what do you think? Who would make a great Mr. T for the movie re-make of the tv show??Hit me up on the comments  section at the bottom of the blog and let me know.  Just remember  tomorrow  is Tuesday  and we are one day closer to the weekend. I pity the fool !!!!

WrestleMania XXIV appears to be going to the dogs. More specifically, Snoop Dogg. An announcement was made on Raw that the rapper/actor has been added to a growing list of who will be attending The Granddaddy of Them All on March 30. Former WWE Champion John Cena is a huge fan of Snoop Dogg, especially after listening to his new album Ego Trippin’, available in stores next Tuesday, March 11.”I didn’t think Snoop could outdo himself in the game of hip-hop, but he’s hit one out of the park once again,” Cena told WWE.com, mentioning ”Life of da Party” and “Cool” as his favorite tracks on the new album. “Everyone should pick up this album. It’s got a lot to say. I’m looking forward to congratulating Snoop at WrestleMania.”Snoop will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the BunnyMania Lumberjack Match pitting Maria & Candice Michelle against Beth Phoenix & Melina. Snoop will also be able to watch The Greatest Fighter in the World, WBC welterweight champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather, face off against The Largest Athlete in the World, Big Show, and Grammy-winning crooner John Legend, who will have the honor of singing “America the Beautiful.” Check back with WWE.com for updates on other luminaries who will be on hand for WrestleMania XXIV in Orlando, Fla. REMY, REMY, REMY !!!!

remy-ma.jpg

Remy  is on trial for shooting her friend in the stomach,  ummm hello does anyone else find this  story crazy? I love Remy, but c’mon !! ( put your right hand up ,put your left hand  up, whateva whateva)  Hit me up in the comment  section  at the bottom of this blog.. and let me know  what you think  Did Remy  do it??? Here’s the latest in the Remy situation :

The woman that Remy Ma is accused of shooting has withdrawn a $20 million dollar lawsuit against the rapper, according to reports. Makeda Barnes-Joseph filed the civil suit in December of 2007, claiming that Remy Ma, born Remy Smith, shot her twice in the abdomen during a dispute over $3000 dollars that was missing from the rapper’s purse. The shooting took place after Remy Ma accused Barnes-Joseph of stealing the cash, after a night of partying in Manhattan in July of 2007. Remy Ma, who was charged with assault and witness tampering in the case, is currently on trial for shooting Barnes-Joseph. Jurors in the trial heard directly from Barnes-Jospeh on Friday (March 14), when she took the stand, recounting the argument that lead up to her shooting. According to Barnes-Joseph, the argument took place in her car, after Remy Ma, jumped into Joseph’s vehicle demanding to inspect the contents of her purse. Barnes-Joseph claims that Remy Ma shot her after she denied taking the money, refusing to empty her purse for Smith’s inspection.Barnes-Joseph was shot in the stomach and was hospitalized for three weeks following the shooting, undergoing three separate surgeries. Barnes-Joseph’s testimony supported that of friend Krystal Bolton, who testified about the first few minutes following the shooting earlier in the week. Remy Ma’s defense attorney, Ivan Fisher, maintains that the shooting was accidental. Remy Ma faces up to 25 years in prison if found guilty of the charges against her, including first degree assault. Barnes-Joseph has the option of refilling the lawsuit at a later date. She indicated that she may be awaiting the outcome of the trial before proceeding with the civil case.  Damn damn damn….can’t we all just get along?

Mario making moves on Katarina!!!!

mario-and-katarina.jpg

Whats good for this Tuesday my bloggers? Tomorrow morning we have R & B star LLoyd on the radio with us. Make sure you listen between 7 and 9 am.

Now speaking of R & B , singer Mario is on this season’s cast  of Dancin With the Stars. I pegged him for an early favorite  and  he had the higheast  score of the fellas with a 24 score each of the judges  giving them  8’s.  No surprise right?  But  did you see him all over Katarina?? If you didn’t  know, she’s dating the  dude from Saved by the Bell Mario Lopez, who was her danicn partner two season’s ago.. He is beyond hot, and everyone knows they are dating. How weird was it to see Mario all over  Katarina. I mean,  really,  did you see it??? It was almost  uncomfortable . He grabbed  her, kissed her, held her hand and if I may be so bold.. he did stare at her  kind of in a dreamy  way.. I am not lying he really  did. Tell me you didn’t  notice. Hit me up and let me know  your take on  Dancin with the Stars  and Mario’s clear obsession for his partner.. He’s totally  whipped… hit the comment spot at the bottom of todays  blog and let me know what you think !!!

Do you think Puffy and Biggie knew?

Monday, March 17th, 2008

tupac-shakur.jpg

Puffy  is already denying this story!!!! But here is the question of the day. Did Puffy and Biggie know  about the ambush on Tupac at the recording studio that started the Eastcoast/Westcoast battle? Go to the bottom of the page  and click  comments, because I need to hear from you  on this one !!!!!!! We will be discussing again on Tuesday morning !!!! Here’s the story from the La Times..

http://www.latimes.com/la-naw-quad17mar17,0,7227999.story

However  here is Puffy’s response today.

Hip-Hop star Sean “Diddy” Combs has responded to a controversial new article in the Los Angeles Times, which claims the mogul had advanced knowledge of a planned assault on the late Tupac Shakur.  A new investigative piece printed today (March 17) in the Los Angeles Times claims that Combs and Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G” Wallace had advance knowledge of a plan laid by music executive Jimmy “Henchmen” Rosemond and an 18-year-old associate named James Sabatino to assault Shakur for a number of different reasons. In an exclusive statement to AllHipHop.com, Sean “Diddy” Combs vehemently denied the allegations in the Los Angeles Times. “This story is beyond ridiculous and completely false,” Combs told AllHipHop.com. “Neither Biggie nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during or after it happened. It is a complete lie to suggest that there was any involvement by Biggie or myself.”  The story details an alleged plan of the events leading up to Shakur’s shooting at the Quad, including a new figure, an Italian-American named James Sabatino, who was 18-years-old at the time of the attack.  Sabatino, whose father is an alleged captain in the Colombo crime family, is accused of helping Rosemond orchestrate a plan to assault Shakur at the Quad in 1994. When Shakur confronted his own attackers with a raised gun, the plan went awry and Shakur and his manager Fred Moore were shot several times. In the piece, one of the unnamed sources involved with the shooting actually offered to produce Shakur’s $40,000 dollar medallion for an undisclosed amount. Sabatino is currently serving an 11 ½-year prison sentence for wire fraud and racketeering, for charging up $200,000 using fake credit cards, allegedly for helicopters, limos and hotel suites for Bad Boy’s entourage during 1997’s “No Way Out” tour featuring Combs. In October of 2007, Sabatino filed a $19 million dollar lawsuit against Combs and Bad Boy from prison, claiming Combs agreed to pay him $200,000 for footage taken of B.I.G. in 1994. Despite the fact that a contract was never signed, Sabatino claims that in 1997, he was given a down payment of $25,000 but Combs has not paid him since, reportedly because the LAPD had previously named Sabatino as a person of interest in the slaying of the Notorious B.I.G. A number of sources have told AllHipHop.com that the story investigating Shakur’s shooting at the Quad is the start of a bigger series Phillips and the Los Angeles Times are planning in relation to the deaths of both Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. Combs chastised the Los Angeles Times’ piece and completely denied any involvement in the Quad shooting. “I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story,” Combs stated.

Hmmm so  who do you believe?  Let me know.. hit the comments below  and let me know  what you think !!!!!

prostitue.jpg

Is this chick really worth $80,000? I mean  c’mon… she’s pretty  but 80 grand pretty??

The woman for whom  NY Governor Eliot Spitzer tossed away his political career, reputation and, perhaps, his family finally has a face. Ashley Alexandra Dupre, a 22-year-old aspiring singer from the Jersey Shore, is the high-priced hooker at the heart of the sordid, sex-filled drama. Her name was revealed on the same day Spitzer resigned from office. I really  don’t understand the allure  of prostitutes for guys.. Can someone please explain this to me? Hugh Grant, Gov. Spitzer,Charlie Sheen.. I don’t get it.. why  do they  pay  for sex  when they can probably get it free? I really  don’t  get  guys at all.. totally  different mindset than women. Do you know  how many shoes  I could buy?? or How many trips I could take? Or renovations I could do to the house? How could someone blow(excuse the pun) that kinda dough on sex?  This is why  men are  from  Mars and women are from Venus or is it Women are from  Venus and men think with their_____. You fill in the blank.

Hit me up let me know what you think.. hit the comment section at the bottom of this page !! later!!
